A valued advisor and member of our team for almost three years, Yvonne brings a wealth of experience and insight, drawing from her own nine-year journey in recovery. She plays a crucial role in fostering connection and support within our community by administering the live chat rooms for two of our communities. Her dedication and compassion are invaluable assets to our team.

Since the launch of our online communities in 2022, Michael has been a cornerstone of our recovery movement. His nearly 22 years of sobriety offer a beacon of hope and resilience, and his contributions as a trusted administrator and group advisor have been invaluable. He provides a source of strength and compassion by ensuring an atmosphere of recovery is maintained within our groups at all times.

Jami joined our team in October of 2023. She is a recovery advocate and brings over seven years of sobriety and a wealth of lived experience. She is nearing completion of her Bachelor of Science in Human Services and is pursuing addiction counselor certification, combining academic expertise in the effects of addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions with practical understanding. Jami has facilitated over a dozen justice-involved groups and connects individuals to resources. She is a valued team member and a senior community advisor.

SUSAN M. WAGENAAR
Trauma-Informed Peer Support Specialist, Founder

Susan is a trauma-informed peer support specialist and the founder of Colusa County Recovery, Glenn County Recovery, and Clean and Sober Nation.  Since embracing recovery in 2019, Susan has cultivated two thriving online recovery communities with a combined membership exceeding 25,000 and a growth rate of over 700 new members each month. Beyond the digital sphere, Susan is a dedicated advocate for recovery, having spoken at a dozen rehabs, facilitated over 100 group meetings in Colusa County for justice-involved individuals, and authored two e-books generously offered to the public for free.

We provide accessible pathways to recovery, both online and within our local community, through a strength-based, person-centered, holistic model that connects individuals to vital resources, trauma-informed peer support specialists, facilitated support groups, evidence-based solutions, and transformative technology that supports AI.

 

We break down barriers, challenge stigma, and champion change to create a more equitable recovery landscape, bridging geographical gaps and ensuring access to support for all through community partnerships, online collaborations, advocacy, and innovation.
